The Swiss company, METHABAU, uses a new SENNEBOGEN 673 R for lifting and loading activities on the construction site in Bassersdorf near Zurich. Thanks to the crawler undercarriage, the telescopic crane is flexibly on the go on the construction site and can even move under load.
METHABAU, headquartered in Amriswil/Hefenhofen (methabau.ch) is currently executing an innovative project for Eurobus welti furrer AG at the Bassersdorf/ZH location. Here, on a total area of 14,000 m2, a two-storey depot for approximately 140 tour buses, as well as public transportation buses, will be built by the end of 2014. On the roof there will be a parking deck for 170 automobiles. The adjacent 4-storey office building has facilities for the bus operation as well, as offices and rental facilities. There is an attic apartment at the top of the office building. METHABAU was commissioned with the order for concept, planning, and building execution of this complex construction project. The Swiss Sales and Service Partner, Kuhn Baumaschinen, was able to deliver a new SENNEBOGEN 673 telescopic crawler crane in November 2013 for all lifting and logistics tasks on the site, and for flexible simultaneous coverage of parallel construction sites.
The powerful, 160 kW telescopic crane is impressive through the highest level of flexibility with a robust crawler chassis that enables efficient movement under load and excellent maneuverability on site. The variable, telescopic, 4-section telescopic boom offers a convenient reach of 36 m and maximum safe working loads of up to 70 t. At METHABAU, the 673 R is used as a classic construction site crane. Wherever the task at hand is placing prefabricated concrete parts or sorting material on the storage area, unloading trucks, or transporting heavy steel girders from point A to point B, the machine is the equipment of choice. With a transport width of merely 3 m, when the crawler undercarriage is retracted, the crane can be easily transported via flat-bed truck and is quickly ready for operation. Thus, one crane can be used for multiple deployment locations with the utmost convenience.
The functional bus depot will later be complete accessible for vehicles on multiple storeys. Consequently, for this construction site, the builder relies on massive prefabricated elements that safely accommodate even heavy loads. These parts are delivered and placed each day via rail and truck. Here as well, the crawler crane really shows its advantages. The machine can unload and sort the structural components on the storage area, and the machine can later place them unerringly on the building.
For operator, Andreas Sprecher, the comfortable 20-degree tilting Maxcab offers an ideal overview of the work area and the highest level of ergonomics, thanks to the sliding door and comfort seat. Two cameras, one on the boom and one in the rear area, ensure an excellent all-round view - an additional safety advantage. The innovative SENCON control and diagnostics system facilitates operation and provides an overview of machine parameters. Simple maintenance tasks are handled by the operator, Andreas Sprecher, himself thanks to central lubrication points and a clear component lay-out. For regular service tasks the Kuhn Group is a competent partner and available in good time.
Statements:
"The new SENNEBOGEN 673 telescopic crawler crane is perfect for this demanding application. The flexibility and stability are convincing, even under load I can move the crane safely, this saves time and makes the machine a reliable helper on the construction site. Driver Andreas Sprecher
