The Italian company Cartonfer srl has been utilizing the reliable SENNEBOGEN material handler for many years. Whether in paper recycling or scrap handling, where material is moved and must be sorted, these mobile machines are used.
It seems to be a tradition of Italian material handler operators to use this equipment to keep going and going and going... at least that appears to be the case with Luca Casagrande and his driver Renato Dalcin. Cartonfer, a family enterprise in the Italian city of Vittorio Veneto, uses the a variety of material handlers to move all its material, from the SENNEBOGEN 723 to 830. As it is typical in Italy, the machines work almost entirely without outriggers. Therefore, stability of the mobile undercarriage without the use of outriggers is of utmost importance, whether during shear feeding or loading trucks.
The very first material handler bought by Cartonfer was a SENNEBOGEN 825 M in the 1999. Up to date this machine has 22.300 working hours; and the success of the green material handler is unbroken, and not only at Cartonfer. Luca Casagrande, scrap yard manager, considers the robust design and the high degree of reliability of the material handler as the most important features. "The elevating cab, a comprehensive lighting package and incredible maneuverability of the mobile machine pay of themselves during the daily work in the scrapyard. We sort the incoming material very meticulously; this requires the driver's intuitive flair as well as a very sensitive control system", explains Luca Casagrande.
