With the 718, SENNEBOGEN has long offered its customers a unique solution for a wide variety of challenges in fuel wood harvesting and tree care. The robust material handler with a 13 m telescopic boom has been added to the current machine generation of the E-Series for the bauma 2016 trade fair.
A proven machine concept, compact dimensions for convenient transport, and a modern engine technology characterize the new SENNEBOGEN 718 of the E-Series. The special machine for demanding applications in the removal of problematic trees or landscaping with varying attachments offers applications for customers in the municipal area or road maintenance as well as applications for forestry operations and landscaping businesses.
The SENNEBOGEN 718 can be used efficiently year round for a wide variety of tasks ranging from removing problematic trees, to cutting back vegetation on roads and canals, to use with various attachments, such as, for example, mulchers. The machine itself is equipped with a 119 kW diesel engine and a special boom with a telescopic stick. This easily covers a working area of 13 m – thanks to lifting capacities of up to 1.7 t with full outreach, even heavy logs can be safely manipulated. A robust undercarriage with reinforced axles and forestry tires ensures a stable stance and optimum maneuverability even in terrain.
With an operating weight of 21.4 t and compact dimensions, the machine can also be used in tight spaces and road traffic. Especially for transport between different operation sites, the machine can be easily transported on a normal flat-bed trailer thanks to its compact transport dimensions with a 2.83 m rear pivoting radius and 2.63 m total width. The SENNEBOGEN 718 can also drive short distances itself at up to 20 km/h, thanks to its approval for limited road use.
The variety of attachments that are flexibly designed for the respective work purpose ensure maximum flexibility of use. For gradually removing problematic trees, for example, different cutting heads, grab saws, or log grapples can be easily attached. During non-felling periods, the SENNEBOGEN 718 can also be used for applications other than the usual ones.
Safety is an extremely important issue especially when cleaning up storm damage. The long equipment makes it possible to process material from a safe distance. From the 2.7 m elevated comfort cab, the operator has an optimum overview of the work area. A new feature is the Maxcab, which is now also used in this machine class. In comparison to the previous version, the cab is considerably larger, an air conditioning system comes standard, and the sliding door allows easy, safe entry and exit.
