The FRANZ BRACHT and SENNEBOGEN companies have a successful partnership that is now decades old. With the simultaneous use of three SENNEBOGEN crawler cranes in Offenburg, Germany, FRANZ BRACHT relies on flexibility and reliability.
An unbeatable trio of three SENNEBOGEN crawler cranes ensure the smooth construction of a new furniture store in Offenburg. In this city, the basic structure of the new shopping center is rising up from around 1700 cubic meters of reinforced concrete elements. As a crane rental company, FRANZ BRACHT KG uses a total of three SENNEBOGEN crawler cranes at the same time. With a maximum safe working load of up to 180 t and numerous equipment variants, the two 4400 cranes and the 5500 from the SENNEBOGEN product range are used for very different applications by the crane rental company.
Flexibility and easy handling in daily operation are important criteria, as the three crane operators Gerhard Fischer, Henry Engel and Detlef Willy confirm. They above all mean the possibility to move the machines even with a load on the hook. When heavy components have to be moved, it is not unusual for the SENNEBOGEN crawler cranes to function as pick & carry machines when they move over the grounds at walking speed with goods on the hook and with up to 90% of the maximum safe working load. In Offenburg, the three SENNEBOGEN crawler cranes impressively demonstrate what flexible, space-saving work means. The building complex consists of several wings, which are each supplied by one of the cranes. The machines move up and down along the center axis and thus serve both sides of the building section, which are arranged like fingers on a hand. In this way, heavy prefabricated concrete components are precisely positioned with little effort.
Maximum hook heights of over 100 m and a wide working range with variable lattice boom lengths offer the best conditions for reliably meeting even the most difficult challenges. The crawler cranes are equipped with diesel engines with up to 261 kW output and 160 kN winch pulling force. From the comfortable cab, the operators safely operate the machines and always have the load in view thanks to the inclinable cab position.
As a result of their compact dimensions, the SENNEBOGEN crawler cranes not only perform well at construction sites; their transport and assembly are also easy and space-saving. An ingenious self-assembly system lets the crawler cranes assemble themselves, without a further auxiliary crane. All components are optimized for cost-saving transport in containers.
Statement:
"We have placed our trust in the reliable SENNEBOGEN cranes for decades. Especially the flexible crawler cranes with their simple technology and space-saving transport are popular machines in our machine park.“ Thomas Spangemacher, Technology Director – FRANZ BRACHT KG
