DEGES (Deutsche Einheit Fernstraßenplanungs- und bau GmbH) has commissioned ZÜBLIN with the approximately 6 km long 3rd construction section of the BAB 44 between Kassel and Herleshausen. The A44 is part of the traffic project „German Einheit No. 15“ and is to close the gap in the federal motorway infrastructure between the BAB 7 near Kassel and the BAB 4 near Wommen. The project comprises a total of 12 sections, and a SENNEBOGEN 613 E is now being used for lifting work on section 3.
The company Ed. Züblin AG from Stuttgart was founded in 1898 and now employs 14,000 people. The range of services extends from turnkey building construction, industrial construction or housing construction to spectacular tunnels or motorway viaducts in civil engineering. The company relies on innovative strength, intelligent engineering and advanced manufacturing methods.
So the STRABAG subsidiary Züblin AG was commissioned with the construction of the new A44 line between Kassel and Herleshausen on construction section 3 near Sontra. The northern entrance portal in front of the Boyneburg tunnel will be decorated with a natural stone wall. The strip foundation for this wall will be founded on a narrow embankment step at a height of ten metres, so the formwork for the foundation will require an appropriate lifting machine.
The decision was made in favour of the Sennebogen telescopic crawler crane 613 E, handed over by sales and service partner Louis Scheuch. The boom can be telescoped up to 18.8 metres and, together with the jib, offers a maximum hook height of 24 metres. With its robust boom system, which enables stepless and continuous telescoping, it can lift up to 16 tons and thus easily transport the formwork to the upper level. The hoisting winch has a tension force of 35 kN and a rope speed of 0 to 95 m/min. The 92 kW (125 PS) diesel engine complies with exhaust emission standard Stage IV.
Thanks to its crawler undercarriage, the 613 can also be driven under full load. During operation, it is safe and stable even on unpaved terrain. The crane is also equipped with a spacious Multicab cabin that can be raised by 1.75 metres to provide a clear view of the job site at all times. A further plus: With a transport width of only 2.55 m, the machine can be easily and cost-effectively transported to the construction site by low-bed trailer, since the 613 E can be transported without a permit.
We wish Züblin good luck with the crane and continued success on the entire construction site.
