The company now employs 140 employees, who provide these services with a state-of-the-art fleet of machines in Zürich and the surrounding area. For certain special services, the company is in demand all over Switzerland.

As a SENNEBOGEN distribution and service partner, KUHN Schweiz AG has recently commissioned a SENNEBOGEN 830 D-series model with a 132 kW electric motor for Richi. The machine was optimized for the space available with a 3 m pylon and K 17 boom with a 800 ltr. orange peel grab. The smooth running machine feeds mature timber to the shredder for at least 9 hours each day, which is then used in the biomass power plant to generate electricity. The 830 D series handles approximately 150 t of material every day. The machine is stationary and has a 4-point steel underframe and a ballast weighing approximately 10 t, but can be moved if necessary. Drivers and managers alike are delighted with the performance and availability of the new machine. The electric motor means that no more time or money needs to be spent on refuelling. A further advantage is the significant reduction in maintenance outlay as compared with similar diesel machines and the fact that the electric drive minimises wear and tear on the components.

SENNEBOGEN is renowned for its maximum customer orientation and specialist solutions. For Richi, a rotary feedthrough for water was fitted on the machine in the factory for an irrigation system with splash lance. For wood handling applications or shredders, this splash lance binds the dust which is generated and creates a comfortable and safe working environment.
