SENNEBOGEN 650 HD with dragline
A factory-new SENNEBOGEN 650 is in dragline operation at the Schlupfing GmbH gravel plant in the picturesque town of Pocking. The machine is designed as a pure dragline machine and can be used the whole year round. Equipped with a 2.3 m³ bucket, around 1,500 m³ are moved in active dredging each day.
The roughly 50,000 m³ at the current site of the machine should be completely dredged by autumn. The machine will then be moved and the area will be used for recreation or lakes. The 24.3 m boom is ideally suited for the dredging depth of around 6 m and for heaping material up to heights of around 9 m.
The SENNEBOGEN 650 is operated by Johann Unertl, a highly experienced specialist in the field of draglines. "I learned the trade on a SENNEBOGEN SB 15 back in 1992 and am pleased to be once again using a machine from the latest SENNEBOGEN range. I have been working on the machine for around 10 hours each day for almost a year now and am extremely happy with the 650 model. The stability of the telescopic undercarriage and user-friendly operation are outstanding."
With around 20 ha of land still to work, the machine has certainly got its work cut out. In view of this, the management thought long and hard before making this long-term investment. "We chose the SENNEBOGEN 650 because we were impressed by the machine's design and its robust construction", explains manager Rudolf Arnold. The new sheave head for dragline operation was used for the first time at the Schlupfing gravel plant. The special flange height offers even better line guidance and reduced wear on the line for increased safety and lower costs. The longstanding SENNEBOGEN distribution and service partner IBS GmbH from Röthenbach near St. Wolfgang offers top-class consulting activities and customer support.
