A spanking new SENNEBOGEN 830 Electro complete with 4 m pylon has been in service at the company Schuy of Limburg since May. The firm's modern 70,000 m² site is now home to three SENNEBOGEN machines, including a 821 for sorting and a 825 D-Series for machine charging and loading.

The new SENNEBOGEN 830 D-Series with a 132 kW electric engine generally supplies the 1,000 t Lindemann shears with a wide range of materials. Baufahrzeuge Bordt from Stuttgart, which has acted as a sales and service partner to SENNEBOGEN for many years, has adjusted the machine so it caters for the customer's needs perfectly. "The team from Bordt have done a first-class job in providing advice, setting up the machine and instructing staff - I'd say if I wasn't happy", declares Wolfgang Schrödter. Equipped with a 15 m trailing cable and a K 17 boom, the crawler machine offers an impressive working radius and ensures flexible usage at the yard. According to Mr Schrödter it was SENNEBOGEN's expertise and experience in the field of pylon technology and electrical engineering that persuaded the company to opt for this machine: "SENNEBOGEN leads the market here. Anyone can supply an excavator - but when it comes to technology and catering for our needs none of the competitors we asked really could not match up at all. And besides, we are very satisfied with the other two SENNEBOGEN machines".

The electric engine not only ensures very low noise levels; compared with a diesel-powered machine consumption costs are a mere third. In addition, there is the environmental aspect, as well as the longer service life enjoyed by components thanks to the smoother electric engine. 100% performance right from the start and no downtimes when refuelling the machine are convincing arguments when it is a question of economy.

The machine operator is also delighted with his new workstation. The 4 m pylon and elevating maXcab high-comfort cab guarantee optimum visibility when picking up material with the 0.4 m³ orange peel grab and dropping it into the shears. "If you shut the door, you can hardly hear the machine. I am stationed at the shears right from the start and do a 9-hour shift on the 830 every day. I can tell you that the low noise level of the new machine makes concentrating on my work very easy. I'm really impressed by its user comfort and handling", is the driver's comment.

In terms of square feet Rudolf Schuy GmbH has now become one of Germany's largest scrap merchants.
