Two SENNEBOGEN 683 telescopic crawler cranes used for demolition work at PLANNERER

At the Kulmbach brewery, PLANNERER KG is carrying out controlled deconstruction of the storage cellar tower block and the former brewery. The deconstruction of a 40 m wide bridge is also underway. The storage cellar tower block is 60 m long, 15 m wide and 44 m high, which corresponds to 40,000 m³ of space contained within the construction of the storage cellar tower block and 23,000 m³ of the brewery. The 10,000 m³ of construction waste produced is recycled with the company's own breakers, which can then be used as quality-controlled recycling material to fill the resulting excavation pits.

The renowned demolition company founded in 1992 in the north Oberpfalz region of Germany carries out this difficult task with two SENNEBOGEN 683 crawler telescopic cranes. After the facades have been dismantled, a 683 is used to disassemble the steel carriers. Equipped with an auxiliary jib, a working platform is attached to the first hook of the main boom while the second hook is used for securing and lifting the steel carrier, which weighs a total of 2,000 t. The 683 is also used for lifting and transporting the 15 m high tanks weighing 13 t, which are moved with the machine over a distance of 50 m. This is where the second cable comes into play for moving the tank in a controlled manner. The second 683 is used to secure the 8 t excavator, which carries out high-level demolition work. Constant repositioning of the excavator and frequent changing of the attachments place immense stress on the SENNEBOGEN 683 when under load. For maximum stability, this 683 is equipped with a star-lifter undercarriage. With its telescopic boom that can be continuously extended up to 42 m and maximum carrying load of 80 t, the 683 is a powerful and versatile machine. Demolition work without the two SENNEBOGEN machines would have been impossible due to the proximity to the road and the additional lifting work.

Manager Stephan Plannerer and his two brothers are highly impressed with the SENNEBOGEN telescopic cranes: "The machines are extremely robust and can be operated under load stably and without problems even with unfavourable ground conditions - perfect for our challenging work in the demolition sector. SENNEBOGEN is also a traditional family company. I can contact the management directly if I need to, which is something I really appreciate." IBS GmbH from Röthenbach near St. Wolfgang also provides an outstanding service as SENNEBOGEN distribution and service partner.

The crane drivers are particularly impressed with the spacious cab and pleasant working atmosphere. The easy maintenance and service-friendly characteristics of the machine round off this highly cost-effective solution.

With lifting capacities between 8 and 80 t, the 608 multicrane, the 613, the 643 and the 683 complete the SENNEBOGEN range of telescopic cranes. All models are available with mobile or crawler undercarriages. The HPC 40 vehicle crane rounds off this comprehensive product range.
